Native American Ear Candling & Facial Cupping

The ancient practise of Ear Candling has been used by many ancient cultures around the globe for centuries. Ear Candles were used for cleansing, purifying and also spiritual healing.

What are Ear Candles?

Ear Candles are hollow tubes made from organic cotton, soaked with beeswax, therapeutic oils, herbs and honey. The candle acts like a chimney once lit, causing the warm air inside it to rise, creating a vacuum at the bottom. With the vacuum created the ear is stimulated facilitating the removal of impurities and excess wax.

The Ear Candle stimulates the ear to eliminate the wax naturally but does not suck the wax out of the ear.

The Natural therapeutic ingredients of the Biosun Ear Candles are known for their healing properties and soothing benefits. The vapours gently enter through the ear and are inhaled in the air which may help trigger deep relaxation and a positive mental state. The treatment is very soothing and reduces pressure in the head and ears, leaving you with a sense of well-being.

What happens during a treatment?

Firstly a full consultation is taken to establish a little about yourself and your lifestyle. You will be lying on your side on a massage couch, fully clothed resting your head on a pillow and a towel protecting your hair and face.

The Ear Candle will be lit then gently placed into the opening of the ear. As the Ear Candle burns, slight warmth is felt and a pleasant hissing or crackling sound is heard. The candle takes approximately 9-12 minutes to burn down to the red safety mark, at which point the candle is gently removed and extinguished in water. You will be turned over to treat the other ear in exactly the same way.

After the Ear Candling is complete you will receive Facial Cupping and a facial massage treatment which helps drain the lymphatic’s and promote the elimination of waste products from the body.

When the treatment is completed the Ear Candles will be opened and the contents will be evaluated.
